Awesome!! Let us know how it turns out. In retrospect, I think we should have used a whisk the whole time instead of starting with a wooden spoon and then switching to a whisk.

And if you're really into chocolate, go for the super-dark 85% stuff and then decide if you wanna add a little sugar in the end.

We looooove San Fransisco.

Thanks for the kind words about SF. We (chubby hubby and me) have been here for about 8 years, so I think we will stay.

So.... I made the "white trash" version of this beverage.

Instead of the expensive Scharffenberger 70% cacao, I used Hershey's Extra Dark (60%) bought at Walgreen's.

Instead of whole milk, I used fat free.

And imitation vanilla.

And grocery store brand salt.

And yet, it came out really good!

I was worried it was going to be like chocolate milk, but it really is like drinking a chocolate bar.

To my credit, I did serve it in a Japanese tea bowl.

Maybe next weekend after payday, I can organize some finer ingredients (maybe some lavendar or verbeena to infuse the milk) and even do it for company.

Cheers!
